Food Ministry

For many years Oceans of Grace hosted our own Food Pantry.  In 2017 we decided to reach more hungry people by working together in partnership with the East Greenwich Interfaith Food Cupboard, housed at Saint Luke’s Episcopal Church, 99 Pierce Street, East Greenwich, RI, (401-884-4116). The Food Cupboard is open Monday, Wednesday, Friday 10:30 a.m. – noon (except for state holidays), or in emergency, by appointment.

We collect food for the EG Interfaith Food Cupboard on an ongoing basis.  If you would like to donate food items, please leave them in one of our food collection bins:

• in Fellowship Hall (beneath the church sanctuary)

• in front of the altar in the sanctuary

• on the front porch of the Oceans of Grace building

For more information, contact Kim Corwin (401-641-7795), our Food Cupboard Coordinator and FELC representative to the Interfaith Food Cupboard. Our Creation Care/Green Team and Garden Committee also grow fresh vegetables for the Interfaith Food Cupboard during the growing season.  For information on our Garden Committee, contact Karen Manning, Coordinator.
